TWISTD1Agreement to these terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and www.twistd.app, (“TWISTD”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the TWISTD mobile app, our website at twistd.app and any successor domain, our waitlist, and any related services (together, the “Services”).
By downloading, creating an account on, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2Who can use TWISTD
You must be at least [13] years old to use TWISTD, or older if your country requires it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use, including any charges.
Some dramas listed in TWISTD contain mature themes. You are responsible for deciding whether the content indexed here is suitable for you.
You may not use the Services if we have previously banned you, or if you are located in a country subject to a Canadian, US, UK or EU embargo, or are on a restricted-party list.
3What TWISTD is
TWISTD is a directory and personal tracker for vertical short dramas. It lets you search a catalogue of titles, see which third-party platforms carry them, build a watchlist, record and rate what you have watched, and receive alerts about new episodes and releases.
TWISTD does not stream, host, sell or licence dramas. We do not upload, store or distribute the episodes themselves. To watch a title, you leave TWISTD and use the third-party app or site that carries it, subject to that provider’s own terms, availability and pricing. A TWISTD subscription is not a subscription to any drama platform and does not give you access to any drama.
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or in partnership with ReelShort, DramaBox, ShortMax or any other platform, unless we state otherwise in writing.
4Your account
- Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, unless it results from our own failure.
- One account per person. Do not share, sell, rent or transfer your account, and do not create an account on someone else’s behalf without authority.
- Tell us promptly at support@twistd.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through an app store — see section 6.
5Subscriptions, trials and billing
Some features require a paid subscription. Current pricing is shown in the app before you buy and prevails over any price stated elsewhere.

If we increase the price, we will give you notice before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent. If you do not accept the new price, you can cancel before it applies.
6Cancellation and refunds
Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account: iOS — Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android — Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us, under their published policies, because they are the merchant of record. We can look into billing problems and will help where we can, but we cannot issue a refund for a store purchase directly.
Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under consumer protection law, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, or any statutory withdrawal or cooling-off right you may have in the EU or UK.
7Drop alerts and catalogue accuracy
Our catalogue is compiled from publicly available information and manual research. Platforms change their libraries, titles, artwork, release schedules, regional availability and pricing without telling us, and we have no data feed or agreement with them.
So: listings, episode counts, availability and release dates may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and drop alerts may be late, missing or inaccurate. TWISTD is provided as a convenience and is not a guarantee that any title is available to you, at any price, in your region, at any time. Please verify with the platform before you rely on anything you see here.
8Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or use TWISTD for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror or bulk-export our catalogue or any other part of the Services, or use bots, scripts or automated means to access them, except for a search engine obeying our robots file;
- copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Services or our data;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or attempt to derive its source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
- circumvent paywalls, entitlement checks, rate limits, security measures or geographic restrictions, whether ours or a third party’s;
- use TWISTD to link to, index, promote or facilitate pirated or infringing copies of any drama;
- upload malware, probe or stress-test our systems, or interfere with anyone else’s use of the Services;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organisation;
- harass, threaten, defame or abuse other users, or post hateful, obscene or sexually explicit material involving minors or non-consenting people;
- post spam, advertising, chain messages or manipulate ratings, including through fake accounts or coordinated voting.
9Your content
“Your Content” means anything you submit: reviews, ratings, notes, lists, display name, avatar and feedback.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, publish, display and distribute Your Content, solely to operate, promote and improve the Services. This licence ends a reasonable time after you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups and content others have already reshared, and except for aggregated ratings data that does not identify you.
You confirm that you own or have the rights to Your Content, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break the law. Spoilers should be marked as such where the app gives you the option.
We do not pre-screen Your Content, but we may remove or restrict any content, or suspend any account, at our discretion — particularly where content breaches section 8. If you send us feedback or ideas, you agree we may use them freely, without obligation or compensation to you.
10Intellectual property
The TWISTD name, logo, app, website, design, code, and the selection, arrangement and enrichment of our catalogue are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the app store rules in section 18. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Drama titles, synopses, artwork, posters, stills, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We display them to identify and describe the works we index, for the purpose of news reporting, review and information, and their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by their owners. If you own rights in material shown in TWISTD and want it removed, contact us as set out in section 11.
11Copyright complaints
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Canadian Copyright Act and, for users in the United States, the DMCA. Send notices to support@twistd.app including:
- your contact details and, where relevant, the rights holder you represent;
- identification of the work you say is infringed;
- the exact location in TWISTD of the material you want removed;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are authorised to act; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove material, notify the person who posted it, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed in error, you can send a counter-notice to the same address.
12Third-party platforms
Links from TWISTD to third-party apps, stores and websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, subscriptions, billing, refunds, advertising or privacy practices. Any dealings you have with them are between you and them.
13Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that the catalogue or any alert will be accurate or complete, or that any title will be available on any platform.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where a warranty cannot lawfully be excluded, our liability is limited to re-supplying the Services or refunding the amount you paid for them, at our option.
14Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TWISTD, its owner, contractors and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or missed episodes or releases, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, these limits apply only to the extent permitted by the consumer law of your country or province.
15Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TWISTD, its owner and its contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of Your Content, your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. We may take over the defence of any such claim at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with us.
16Suspension and termination
You may stop using TWISTD at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably possible, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or risk to other users, or if we are required to by law. We may also discontinue the Services, or any feature, at any time.
If we terminate your account without cause while you hold a paid subscription, we will provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion where we are able to, or help you obtain one from the relevant store. Sections 9 to 15 and 19 to 20 survive termination.
17Changes to the Services and these terms
TWISTD is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed. We may update these Terms; when we do, we will update the date at the top and, if the change is material, notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the new Terms, stop using the Services and cancel your subscription. Continuing to use TWISTD after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18App store terms
Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and TWISTD only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your licence to use the app on Apple devices is limited to the terms of use in Apple’s Media Services Terms, except that it is non-transferable and applies to devices you own or control. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. TWISTD, not Apple, is responsible for any product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law. TWISTD, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US Government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Questions or complaints about the app should be sent to support@twistd.app.
Google Play
Your use of the app obtained through Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app.
19Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, the UK, or another province or country whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally or to rely on mandatory local consumer protections, nothing in this section takes those rights away.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@twistd.app so we can try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.
20General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Services and replace any earlier understandings.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them, including to a company we later incorporate to operate TWISTD, or in connection with a sale of the business or its assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of infrastructure or third-party platforms.
- Notices. We may contact you in the app, by push notification, or at the email address on your account. Notices to us go to support@twistd.app.
- Language. These Terms are drafted in English. Les parties ont exigé que ce document soit rédigé en anglais.
